June 21, 1955 - Joe Bridickas scatters six hits in nine innings, and strikes out 11, to lead Tamaqua to a 13-2 Tri-County League victory over Lansford. The winners, coached by Don Evans, break open a close game by scoring seven times in the top of the ninth. Bridickas helps his own cause with a triple and two runs scored. Mike Stebilla finishes with three hits, two of them doubles, and a pair of runs, while Joe Thomas adds three hits and a run. Dave Evans contributes a pair of hits and two runs, with Ralph Miller and John Marko also collecting two hits apiece. For Lansford, Stan Ogozalek ends the contest with a couple hits.
