Retirement board

Carbon County’s retirement fund continues to high records.

On Thursday, county controller Mark Sverchek announced that the portfolio value for the retirement fund as of June 11 was $93,915,127, which is another all-time high.

The fund has been performing well over the last year and means it is well-funded for its retirees.

In addition, Sverchek recognized Bob Halenar in the maintenance department, who recently retired after 10 years; and Roberta Kennedy, who served as an LPN in the county, lastly in corrections, for 35 years.

He wished them well on their retirements and thanked them for their years of service.
