A New Jersey man is facing charges in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said on May 31 at 5:40 a.m. a 29-year-old woman from McAdoo reported she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, Irvin Tapia, 29. The victim said Tapia pulled her hair and slapped her face during an argument. He fled the scene before the arrival of troopers.

A nontraffic citation charging him with harassment - physical contact, was filed, troopers said.
