Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Palmerton (Bowmanstown) holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. At 8:30 a.m. is a contemporary service and at 11 a.m. is the traditional service.

In between the two services is Sunday school for all ages (children to adults).

There are four options of worship: In the sanctuary, in Leah’s Room (masks required), in the parking lot (FM 104.3) or Faith Alive Facebook Live. This week is Dads and Grads Sunday.

Church events:

Every Wednesday at 7 p.m. is prayer and praise.

June 27 at 11 a.m. will hold one combined service. Sunday school for all ages will be at 9:45 a.m.

June 21-25 is Vacation Bible School, Destination Dig for ages 4 to 12 years old. Dinner, 4:45-5:45 p.m. and classes, crafts, singing and fun from 6-8:30 p.m. Call the office to sign up your child, all children welcome.

June 26: 6-8 p.m. Dorney Park Trip

June Mission of the Month is Care Net of Carbon County. This awesome organization is in our county to help many young people who don’t have positive role models or haven’t been taught life skills.

They offer educational programs on pregnancy, fetal development, options associated with pregnancy, life skills, relationship issues and much more. They offer free pregnancy tests, baby clothing, baby furniture, diapers and formula.

Palmerton council

A regular meeting of the Palmerton Borough Council will be held at 7 p.m. June 24 in Borough Hall Council Chambers, 443 Delaware Ave.

JUCC

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville) will hold its Father’s Day Sunday service at 9 a.m.

Weather permitting, services will be held in the church grove. Bring your lawn chair.

You can also remain in your vehicle and park in the grove and listen on 95.5 FM. Services can also be seen on Facebook Live and the church website.

Supply Pastor Don Quayle will lead the worship.

Palmerton Car Show

The Palmerton Car Show will be held in the Palmerton Borough Park Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is hosted by the Pace-Maker Association and will be held rain or shine.

Breakfast

An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton.

Menu items include eggs to order, potatoes, pancakes, SOS, toast, cereal, hash, ham, bacon, sausage, OJ, coffee, tea and milk.

Lions Club bingo

The Palmerton Lions Club hosts bingo every Friday night at the Palmerton Sokol Hall, 452 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton.

Doors open at 4 p.m. and games start at 6 p.m.

Various packages and games are available. Food is also available for purchase. Call 610-360-5523 for information.

BWC Dads and Donuts

Bethany Wesleyan Church will host Dads and Donuts on Sunday in the Palmerton Borough Park.

Sunday worship in the park will begin at 10 a.m. with kids activity and message. The rain location will be in the church at 457 Delaware Ave.

BWC Palmerton Kids meet

Bethany Wesleyan Church is hosting a Summer Fun Series on Fridays, June 18, July 16 and Aug. 6, from 2-4 p.m. in the Palmerton Borough Park.

This event is free and for kids ages 3 years to fifth grade. The rain location is the church at 457 Delaware Ave.
