State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported on the following arrests made by troopers.

• Sean Sterner, 54, of Kunkletown, has been charged for an incident on May 1 at 6:33 p.m. Troopers responded to the area of 529 Kunkletown Road in Eldred Township, Monroe County, for a dog law violation. Sterner was charged.

• On June 5 at 1:04 a.m. a 2016 Ford Edge was stopped at Delaware Avenue and Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township, for a vehicle code violation. The driver, a 33-year-old man from Lehighton, who troopers declined to identify, was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. He will be charged accordingly, troopers said.

• On June 4 at 5:25 p.m. troopers stopped a 2004 Ford F250 truck at Bridge and North Railroad streets, in Weissport, for a vehicle code violation. The driver, a 20-year-old man from Palmerton, who troopers declined to identify, was suspect of DUI of a controlled substance. Appropriate criminal charges are pending test results, troopers said.
