Otto Altrichter of Slatington was presented an honorary life membership on the board of directors of the American Lung Association of the Lehigh Valley at its meeting this week near Lehighton.

The award was voted by the association’s membership at its annual meeting and was made to Altrichter by John R. Williams, director of the community service and professional education of the health group.

Attorney Jerome L. Cohen, president of the board, pointed to a long list of recognition Altrichter has received from his community and the organizations he served for the past 30 years while Williams noted Altrichter has devoted a large portion of his life toward a goal of good health for the people of his community.
