State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents:
• Police responded to an incident at 9:15 a.m. at 18 N. William St., in Girardville. Troopers said they went to the address to serve an arrest warrant on Edward Brown, 59, for terroristic threats. He became argumentative and refused multiple commands by officers to come outside.
Troopers entered the home and Brown threw a large piece of glass at them and wielded a large kitchen knife.
Troopers deployed Tasers and Brown was taken into custody without further incident.
He was charged with six counts of aggravated assault, and misdemeanor counts, three of simple assault, one each of recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest and flight to avoid apprehension.
He was committed to the county prison in Pottsville, unable to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
• Police said a 2002 Ford was stopped at South Garfield Avenue and South Middle Street, in Frackville on June 2 at 4:25 p.m. A passenger, identified as Jesse Morit, 34, of Frackville, provided a false identification. He had an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and after processing, transported to the county prison in Pottsville on the warrant. Troopers said other charges to be filed.
• Police are investigating a theft that occurred in New Philadelphia.
Troopers said on May 22 at 8:06 p.m. they responded to a residence along Water Street. A 25-year-old man reported six PlayStation 4 games and a power drill were stolen from his property. Total value of the missing items is $160.
