Parade Sunday to honor Panther graduates

The second annual Panther Valley senior celebration parade will take place starting at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Graduates from the Panther Valley High School Class of 2021 will be joined by 2021 graduates from CCTI during the parade.

The public is invited to cheer on the parade as it proceeds through Coaldale, Lansford Summit Hill and Nesquehoning.

Graduates are welcome to join in the parade as drivers or passengers. Cars will queue up at the Lansford pool at 5:45 p.m., facing west. Only vehicles with a graduate inside will be allowed in the motorcade.

Local police and companies will be assisting with the parade.

Graduates will proceed through Coaldale on Phillips, Sixth, High, Third, Phillips and First streets, before entering Lansford on Route 209.

In Lansford, the route will follow Dock, Ridge and Patterson streets, making a stop at the Lansford pool park before taking Springgarden street into Summit Hill.

In Summit Hill, the parade will follow Ludlow, White, and Elm streets before returning to Route 902 via Ludlow Street.

After returning to Lansford, the parade will head to Nesquehoning via Route 209. In Nesquehoning, the route will follow Mermon, Angelini, Diaz, and Columbus avenues before returning to Nesquehoning via Angelini. The parade will turn around at Route 93 and conclude at the Nesquehoning Fire Company.
