A Monroe County woman died on Thursday of injuries she sustained a crash that occurred earlier in the week.

Lehigh County Coroner Eric D. Minnich, said Ruth Achenbach, 85, of Saylorsburg, was pronounce dead at 1:40 a.m. at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He said an autopsy will be performed to determined the cause of death.

She was a passenger in a car involved in a crash on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. along Route 115 at Meixsell Valley Road in Saylorsburg, Ross Township. The vehicle she was in was struck by another vehicle.

Minnich ruled the death an accident.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the crash.
