Emergency personnel from Towamensing and Lower Towamensing townships were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries Thursday afternoon in Towamensing Township.

The incident was reported around 2 p.m. along Route 209 just south of the intersection with Forest Inn Road.

The crash involved three vehicles with two of them coming to rest on the roadway and a third in a field. The severity of the injuries, if any, are unknown at this time.

Fire personnel and fire police maintained traffic control at the scene, shutting down the roadway and detouring traffic.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident. No other details are available at this time.
