The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of June 14-18 is as follows:

Monday: Roast pork, mashed potatoes, sautéed cabbage, cookie or turkey Reuben

Tuesday: Cabbage soup, cheeseburger, salad, fruit cocktail or salad with beef

Wednesday: Chicken Parmesan, pasta, broccoli, grapes or Cuban sandwich

Thursday: Sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on English muffin, hash browns, tropical fruit or chicken Caesar salad

Friday: Roast Beef, au gratin potatoes, peas and pearl onions, rice pudding or beef and cheddar sandwich

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events for June.

Po-Keno on June 14 at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on June 15 at 10:45 a.m.; Cornhole on June 16 at 11 a.m.; Game Day on June 17 at 10 a.m.; Crafts on June 18 at 10 a.m.

Celebrate Fathers on June 21 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on June 22 at 10:45 a.m.; Learn the Hula on June 23 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on June 24 at 10:45 a.m.; Movie and Pizza on June 25 at 10 a.m.

Pool, cards, games and socialization available every day.

New members always welcome.

Yard sale

Communitywide yard sale and vendor sale Aug. 7, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Aug. 8, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vendor sale will take place at the Nesquehoning Rec Center. All interested vendors please message us on Facebook. As of now we have Color Street and Scentsy.

There will also be a basket raffle at the Rec Center. Basket viewing and tickets will be available starting Aug. 7 at 8 a.m. and the drawing will be held live on Facebook on Aug. 8 at 3 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Rec Center and the children in town.

Rec Center kitchen will be open.

Yard sale will take place throughout town for those who are interested. Please message us your name and address and it will be noted on a town map that will be distributed at the Rec Center the weekend of. We will also post the map on this page.

If you would like to set up at the Rec Center, we will have a limited amount of spaces available outside for a rental fee for the weekend. However you will be responsible to clean up after yourself as we will not be responsible for any items let out overnight. Message us on the recreation center’s Facebook page to sign up.
