Lehighton Borough Council took the following action on Monday:

• Approved a lot consolidation for the William and Marion Bayer Estate.

• Approved a request to shut down Cedar Street between noon to 8 p.m. Aug. 13 in conjunction with the Lehighton Fire Department hosting its annual chicken dinner.

• Approved a request from Zion United Church of Christ to host its annual country fair from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 25. The rain dates are 11-5 Sept. 26, and 8-3 Oct. 2.

• Approved Taylor Crampsie and Chloe Kruslicky as lifeguards for the 2021 season.

• Agreed to ratify all items updated in the COVID-19 action plan.

• Approved a resolution adopting the amended fee schedule.

• Approved a resolution for the records destruction list.
