Police: Hallucinating man fires more than 40 shots in Tobyhanna

Pocono Mountain Regional Police charged a Tobyhanna man who was hallucinating and fired more than 40 shots from inside his home on June 2.

Isaiah Collins, 26, of Tobyhanna is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, criminal mischief, driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. He has been lodged in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville.

Police said they were called to Country Place Drive after Collins called 911 and reported seeing multiple people around his home, some hiding in the weeds with sniper rifles. When police arrived, they located Collins, who was under the influence of drugs.

Police said he used a Ruger .22 long rifle and a Marlin .44 magnum gun to shoot over 40 rounds of shots from inside his home, with some of the shots fired through his front windows. Police said one of the bullets struck a vehicle that was parked at a neighboring home.

Police said Collins then drove to a relative’s house, where police located him and took him into custody. The two guns, drugs and drug paraphernalia were later located inside his home.
