State police at Stroudsburg reported investigating a hit-and-run crash along Interstate 80 in Pocono Township, Monroe County, at 4:18 p.m. on Friday, involving an ambulance.

Troopers said a 2017 Chevrolet ambulance operated by Pocono Mountain Ambulance was being driven eastbound by Dennis M. Reid, 20, of Effort with lights and sirens activated, in the left lane of travel.

Another vehicle, described as a white box truck, entered the left lane and struck the ambulance on the passenger side.

Both vehicles sustained minor damages and Reid and his passenger, Matthew R. Snyder, 30, of East Stroudsburg, were not injured.

The other driver did not stop and fled the scene continuing eastbound.
