Albright College students earn year-end academic awards

Hardworking Albright College students have year-end earned awards for academic work. Local award winners include:

• John Dolbin of New Ringgold has earned the J. Warren Klein Memorial Prize in History. Dolbin is studying history and is a graduate of Blue Mountain High School. This cash prize is given by Mrs. Richard T. Williamson in honor of her father, former President J. Warren Klein. It is awarded to a senior history concentrator, combining a high general academic average with outstanding achievement in extracurricular activities.

• Mckenzie Lazar of Summit Hill has earned the Conway Family Endowed Commencement Award and the Muhlenberg Goodwill Prize. Lazar is studying accounting and is a graduate of Panther Valley Junior Senior High School. Graduating seniors eligible for the Conway endowed commencement award demonstrate exceptional academic achievement (minimum grade-point average 3.0) in economics/business, accounting and/or computer science. The Muhlenberg prize is presented to a senior who has demonstrated, through responsible action in college activities, a concern that extends to the larger community, and who has shown promise for further accomplishments that will better society.
