Two people were injured, one seriously when involved in a crash in Mahoning Township. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Tuesday along Route 443 at the intersection with Semmels Hill Road.

A woman in a sport utility vehicle suffered head injuries. Reports from the scene are two state troopers witnessed the crash. The victims were treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics before being transported. The Mahoning Valley fire company responded helping with the extrication of the victims.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
