SHIPPENSBURG - Jim Thorpe's A.J. Bailor and Lydia Wallace, along with Lehighton's Abby Meckes all earned medals in Class 3A competition at the PIAA Track and Field Championships Saturday.
Bailor posted two personal bests to place third in the shot put. His last mark was his best, at 58-4.
After a disappointing finish in the discus earlier in the day, Meckes bounced back with a throw of 129-6 to finish sixth in the javelin.
Wallace ran to an eighth place finish in the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.73 for her second career medal in the event. She was sixth in Class 2A in 2019.
