A Monroe County man has been charged with disorderly conduct following an incident that occurred at 9:45 p.m. on May 17.

Troopers responded to the Sunoco station located off Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township for a report of a possible assault.

Through an investigation it was revealed that William Davis, 31, of Brodheadsville, attempted to purchase cigarettes and an issue over money occurred.

An argument ensued with Davis pushing over several merchandise displays that were sitting on the counter, causing the merchandise to be scattered on the counter and floor. Davis then left the store.

Through a registration plate search Davis was located and admitted to his involvement in the incident.
