The newly constructed Carbon County Assistance Office along the Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard in Lehighton was dedicated on Friday.
The 10,680-square-foot, single-story building was occupied in November.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official dedication. Carbon County Administrator Randy Smith, who is the chairman of the office’s board, cut the ribbon which was held by board members Deb Bartels, Jesse Gindhart, Robert Graver and Stephen Redash.
Pat Sasserath, executive director of the office, said the new building has 13 intake units and 24 ongoing work stations.
