Police from Schuylkill County responded to Port Carbon borough after reports of a shooting.

A call came into the Schuylkill County Communications Center at 1:09 p.m.

“It’s still an active investigation,” an employee of the communications center said.

State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating.

Minersville Police Chief Michael Combs said the call came in as a shooting. He did not have additional details. A state police trooper said a news release will be issued.

Yellow police tape blocked the area of the Port Carbon Borough Hall. A white vehicle was towed away from the scene. Along with Port Carbon Police, Minersville Police also responded.
