Towamensing Township supervisors recently took the following action:

• Renewed the franchise communication agreement with Blue Ridge Communication.

• Granted permission to the fire department to put one of their firetrucks for sale on the township’s Municibid.

• Approved a request from the Borough of Palmerton for assistance of the township’s fire police for Palmerton’s Memorial Day Parade on May 31, and for the Raising the House 5K Race June 5.

• Announced that the board’s next two meetings (June 10 and July 8) will be held at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month instead of the usual first Thursday of the month.
