State police at Frackville

State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents in Schuylkill County:

• On April 29 at 1215 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2017 Mazda 3 along Interstate 81 southbound in Ryan Township. The driver, William Townsend, 40, of Charlotte, North Carolina, showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges were filed.

• Police are investigating the theft of a motorcycle.

A 28-year-old man from Pottsville reported his 2020 orange and white KTM 250SX dirt bike was stolen from a porch along Valley Road in Cass Township, sometime between May 11 at 10 p.m. and May 12 at 7:30 a.m. The bike is described as being orange and white in color.

• Troopers also are investigating the reported theft of a 30-foot brown fiberglass extension ladder. A 60-year-old male from West Main Street, Girardville, reported the ladder was taken from a garage. The incident was reported on May 10. It is believed the ladder was taken sometime between May 6 and when it was reported missing. The value of the ladder is $400.
