Rush Township police reported investigating a three-vehicle crash at intersection of Claremont Avenue (Route 309), and East Main Street at 12:22 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police said the crash occurred in the northbound passing lane of Claremont Avenue. Police said a vehicle was stopped waiting to turn onto East Main Street with a second vehicle stopped behind it. A third vehicle failed to stop and hit the rear of the second vehicle pushing it into the first vehicle.
Police, who did not identify anyone involved or the vehicles involved, said people in all three vehicles were treated at the scene and then transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton Campus and to St. Luke’s Miners Campus, Coaldale.
