Walnutport hopes to stymie acts of vandalism at its playground.

Councilwoman Jennifer Wentz briefly discussed the mischief at Thursday’s borough council meeting.

Wentz said the vandalism at the playground on Lincoln Avenue occurred sometime during the first week of this month.

“A heavy picnic table was pretty heavily damaged,” Wentz said. “Just the fact that it was done.”

It was then stated that one possibility could be to install another camera to provide better security.

Resident Robert Treskot told council one day while he was there he observed a few kids on the roof of the playground area.
