May 12, 1986 - John Searfoss pitches a two-hit shutout to help Jim Thorpe post a 10-0 victory over Lourdes to clinch the Schuylkill League Division II title. Searfoss walks just one and strikes out seven. He also helps his cause by collecting two hits at the plate. John Copper hits a three-run homer, while Tom Chapman adds a solo shot. Cooper finishes the contest with four hits. The Olympians, coached by Dave Malkin, also receive two hits from Pat Large, Tony Roos, Chapman and Mike Kattner.
