State police at Schuylkill Haven report on crashes

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating the following crashes.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 6:21 a.m. on April 21 along Route 61 in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Heather M. Maccarone, 33, of Pottsville, was driving a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta southbound when the front driver’s side tire blew out causing the vehicle to hit a concrete barrier. Maccarone suffered a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. The vehicle was towed.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 2:58 a.m. on April 19 along Route 61 in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Sarah L. Yeager, 38, of Pottsville, was driving a 2006 Honda CRV northbound when the vehicle left the road and struck a guide rail at the intersection with Brick Hill Road. Yeager left the vehicle in the middle of the road and fled the scene. She was later located and charged. The vehicle was towed.

• A crash occurred at 5:14 p.m. on April 23 along Tumbling Run Road in Blythe Township. Troopers said Riyuichi M. Narita, 26, of Pottsville, was driving a 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 westbound at a speed too fast for conditions. He lost control of the vehicle, which crossed over the eastbound lane striking a guide rail along the berm.

Narita and his passenger, Angel C. Hernandez, 20, of Pottsville, were not injured. The vehicle was towed.

Narita was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
