Schuylkill approves $90,000 budget adjustment

Schuylkill County Commissioners approved a budget adjustment Wednesday that allocates $90,000 to continue to deal with human resources, litigation and employment matters.

Commissioners Gary Hess and Barton “Boots” Hetherington voted to continue to employ Hubric Resources, Wyomissing, and the law firm Flamm Walton Heimbach, Allentown. Each will account for about half of the $90,000 cost.

Hubric resources was hired in September initially for interim human resources director support and human resources recruiting support.

County Administrator Gary Bender said the county owed invoices for work done by former interim human resources director Doreen Kutzler, who left April 30. The county also plans to use the firm for more services. The law firm was hired in December to handle “employment matters.” Bender said the county anticipates attorney Thomas Heimbach to address litigation and employment issues.
