May 10, 2007 - Palmerton’s Casey Ord wins two events and finishes third in another at the annual Colonial League Track and Field Championships. Ord runs a 25.7 in the 200 to not only win, but also match the all-time league mark. She adds a gold in the triple jump (35-10 1/2) and a third in the long jump (16-7 1/2). Four other area athletes turn in first-place finishes. Ord’s teammate Sarah Binder clears 5-3 to capture the high jump, while Northern Lehigh receives a pair of firsts from Gwen Steckel in the discus (94-4 1/2) and Jon Heberling in the high jump (6-3). Northwestern’s James Marshall claims the javelin with a throw of 176-0.
