Mrs. Walter Houser was named Mother of the Year last night by the Summit Hill Garden Club.

The election of the Summit Hill mother for this year’s title was made during the club’s meeting in the Summit Hill Rod and Gun Club. Members said she best typified mothers associated with the club.

She received a plant from Mrs. Robert Gerber, club president. Floral displays on exhibit were based on songs depicting spring.

Antoinette and Theresa Cannariato of Nesquehoning offered vocal selections, accompanied by Jeffrey Miller at the piano. Cynthia Thomas of Jim Thorpe entertained with piano selections.
