Nesquehoning borough offices to reopen to the public June 7

Nesquehoning Borough offices have been closed to the public as a result of the pandemic for several months.

Last week, borough council decided that effective the first Monday in June, which is June 7, offices will reopen to allow residents in to pay bills or conduct borough business.

Currently, residents must either mail or use the drop box to make payments and must call and set an appointment if they need to conduct business with one of the staff.

After some discussion, council said they felt if the office staff was comfortable with reopening, they could reopen it.

Secretary-Treasurer RoniSue Ahner said that all the staff will be fully vaccinated by June 1.

Plexiglas shields have also been installed in the front office to protect the staff.
