At around 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, the Stroudsburg Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police responded to report of a shooting of a juvenile at a residence on Vista Circle in Middle Smithfield Township.

Arriving at the scene, the state police found the victim, an 11-year-old boy, dead.

He died from a single gunshot wound from a handgun handled by a second juvenile in the home.

The shooting is still under investigation.
