The Tamaqua boys and Lehighton girls earned victories on Monday.

Lehighton-Tamaqua

Lehighton and Tamaqua split their Schuylkill League meet.

The host Blue Raiders posted a 99-51 win in the boys meet, while the Lady Indians came away with a 83-66 victory.

Lehighton’s Kelsey Gaston (800, 1600, 3200) and Abigail Meckes (shot put, discus, javelin) each picked up three wins, while Brittney Bartasavage (100H, 300H) also won multiple events.

Harry Swinehart (long jump, triple jump) and Caitlin Smith (100, 200) grabbed multiple victories for the Blue Raiders in the boys and girls meets, respectively.

Richard Yturrino posted wins in the 100, 200 and 400 for the Tribe in the boys meet.

Panther Vy.-Mahanoy Area

Mahanoy Area swept Panther Valley in a Schuylkill League meet.

The loss by the Panther girls was its first in the league this season, as the Golden Bears took first in nine of the 14 individual events to help gain an 81-60 victory.

Hailey Shreffler won two events (800, 1600) for PV, while Autumn Steibler (100H), Izabella Bochiocchio (shot) and Jacqueline Kokinda (javelin) each claimed one.

The PV boys dropped a 96-47 decision despite firsts from Matthew Kokinda (1600), David McAndrew (3200), Gabriel DeMatto (300 hurdles), Bryan Wilde (long jump) and Seth Berk (discus).
