Stubits inducted into honor societies

Kayla Stubits of Lehighton was among the University of Scranton students inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, the international honor society for sociology students. For induction into the honor society, students must have completed 12 credits in sociology and maintained an overall grade-point average of 3.0. The university’s chapter of the honor society was established in 1980.

Stubits was also inducted into Alpha Phi Sigma, the national honor society for criminal justice students. For induction into the honor society, students must be a junior or senior having a criminal justice major or minor, complete at least four criminal justice courses, maintain a 3.2 grade-point average overall as well as in criminal justice, and have a standing in the top 35 percent of the class. The university’s chapter of the honor society was established in 1982.

Stubits is a junior criminal justice major at the Jesuit university.
