State police at Lehighton are investigating an apparent scam.

On April 19 a 50-year-old woman from Lehighton reported that she had been scammed out of $43.50. She told troopers she thought she was paying for a booth spot for a Lansford fire company flea market and that an unknown person she paid was not part of the event.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
