April 30, 1973 - After a shaky first inning, Dave Buhay settles down to pitch Slatington to a 9-2 Lehigh Valley League victory over Emmaus. Buhay gives up both runs on a couple of hits in the opening frame, but allows just one more hit in six scoreless innings the rest of the way. Buhay, who finishes with 10 strikeouts, also contributes a hit and two runs scored offensively. Rick Gruber collects two hits, including a two-run triple during a four-run third inning, while Bob Andrews adds a pair of hits and three RBIs. The Bulldogs, coached by Marv Kester, also receive two hits from Mark Griffith.
