The Lehighton boys and girls posted victories over Pine Grove on Wednesday.

The Panther Valley girls and Weatherly boys also posted wins.

Pine Grove-Lehighton

Lehighton enjoyed Senior Day with victories over Pine Grove in Schuylkill League action.

The Indians knocked off the Cardinals 86-53 in the boys’ meet, while the locals ran away with a 110-38 victory in girls’ meet.

Richard Yturrino (100, 200, 400) led the Indians with three first-place finishes, while Owen Serfass (1600, 3200) and Richard Houser (discus, javelin) added multiples first-place performances.

Kelsey Gaston (800, 1600, 3200) and Abigail Meckes (shot put, discus, javelin) also notched three first-place performances apiece.

Panther Valley-Minersville

Panther Valley and Minersville split in Schuylkill League action.

The Lady Panthers traveled home with a 79-62 win, while the Battlin’ Miners’ came out on top with a 91-49 victory in the boys’ meet.

Panther Valley’s duo of Aneilia McLeod (100, 200) and Hailey Shreffler (800, 1600) both crossed the finish line ahead of everyone else in their respective races.

Gabriel DeMatto swept the hurdles events in the boys’ meet for the Panthers, while Thomas Kokinda jumped to firsts in the long and high jump events.

Weatherly-Schuylkill Haven

Weatherly came away with a split in a Schuylkill League meet against Schuylkill Haven.

The Wreckers knocked off the Hurricanes for a 73-64 win on the boys’ side, while the Lady Wreckers dropped a 109-22 setback to the Hurricanes.

Ricky Ray led the way for the Wreckers, as he captured first place in three different events (400, 800, long jump).

Michael Berger (1600), Scotty Zoscin (3200) and Jacob Solinoski (discus) added firsts for the Wreckers.

Kendall Gerhart (400), Rhianne Markcovchick (100H) and Isabella Wagner (300H) shined in the girls’ meet with victories.

The Eagles posted a 100-49 win in the boys’ competition, and a 92-52 victory in the girls’ meet.

Caitlin Smith (100, 200) and Grace Stegemerten (1600, 300H) had multiple event wins for the Raiders in the girls’ meet.

Tyler Steigerwalt (800), Harry Swinehart (high jump) and Toby Berg (shot put) were all event winners for Tamaqua in the boys’ meet.
