Due to the COVID-19 concerns, the Nesquehoning Conservation Club will have a fish for fun weekend instead of the club’s annual derby.

The club will be stocking the pond, located in the Hauto Valley Estates portion of Nesquehoning, and closing it to adult fishing on May 8 and 9.

Only children 15 years old and under will be allowed to fish. Adults can assist the children.

At the same time, the club will also be stocking the Nesquehoning Creek through town for everyone’s enjoyment.

Members will hold a brief meeting at the pond to discuss details at 6:30 p.m. on May 5.
