State Police at Frackville report on DUI, gun possession

State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents:

• Troopers said on April 20 at 1:22 p.m. Karl Brobst, 39, of New Ringgold, drove onto the property at 20 Ridge Road in East Brunswick Township, past a “no trespassing” sign. He got out of his vehicle and disposed garbage into the bed of a truck parked on the property.

Brobst was cited for criminal trespass.

• On April 16 at 12:52 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2000 Honda CRV along Pine Street at North Railroad Street in Tamaqua. During the stop controlled substances were seen in plain view. A consent search was granted and a gun was located in the passenger’s book bag.

The passenger, identified as Manuel Martinez, 23, of Allentown, is a felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm. Charges are pending.

• On April 20 at 1:39 a.m. troopers responded to a vehicle crash along Skyline Drive at Schuylkill Road in Blythe Township. A 2018 Toyota Rav4 had left the road and traveled down an embankment.

The driver, a 26-year-old woman from Saint Clair, who troopers declined to identify, was suspected of driving under the influence. The investigation is continuing.
