Members of the Franklin Township fire company are working to clean up an oil spill along Long Run road Friday afternoon. The spill was reported by neighbors just before 1 p.m. running from Second to Market streets. Neighbors report a white pickup with an extended cab may be the culprit. They said the driver stopped the truck and went to the rear of the bed. It appeared at that point the spill had increased.

The driver jumped back in the truck and drove north on Long Run Road.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation responded to the scene.

Franklin Township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
