The Carbon County Commissioners, last week, acted on the following items:
• Received a letter from Paula Fougeray notifying the board of her retirement from the position of executive director of the Carbon County Housing Authority, effective April 16. The new executive director is Weston Brehm, who was hired on March 1 and had served as the deputy executive director at the Columbia County Housing and Redevelopment Authorities.
• Recognized a $2,000 donation to the Carbon County Animal Shelter by Lois Hollopeter.
• Approved a cooperative grant agreement with the Department of Aging for aging services through Carbon County Area Agency on Aging from July 1 through June 30, 2025. The annual funding, which is the department’s normal budget, is $1,318,009 each year.
• Ratified the subgrant agreement with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
• Ratified a quote from Identity Group LLC of Slatington to provide and install 32 partial pole wrap graphics to direct visitors to the kiosks to pay when parking in the county lot. The cost is $1,404.80.
• Approved a Local Elected Officials Agreement between Carbon, Pike, Monroe and Wayne counties to organize and implement activities pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for the July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024.

• Change of status: Gregory L. Mousseau of Jim Thorpe, from temporary full-time chief public defender trainee and solicitor of clerk of courts to temporary full-time chief public defender trainee, effective April 14.
