State police at Fern Ridge report on incidents

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following arrests made by troopers.

• On March 25 at 6:48 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2008 Ford Fusion along Route 115 at Keswick Drive, in Tobyanna Township, Monroe County, for multiple traffic violations. The driver, Robert Rushie, 33, of New Rochelle, New York, was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and taken into custody for DUI. He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

• On April 5 at 8:29 p.m. troopers responded to 1751 Astolat Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a report of a bicycle found. The bike is a red 2020 Dynacraft 20-inch B Wipeout.

• On April 9 at 9:13 a.m. troopers were dispatched to the Chesnuthill Township Municipal building located at Route 715 and Lake Mineola Road. During the investigation it was determined that township employees placed a Stihl HS 56 hedge trimmer on the ground then left the area. The trimmer was taken by an unknown person who drove a dark-colored sedan.

• On April 13 at 5:55 p.m. troopers were dispatched to Kinsley’s ShopRite store at 107 Kinsley Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for an intoxicated person.

Upon arrival troopers made contact with Howard Horn, 45, of Saylorsburg, who was determined to be highly intoxicated. He was cited for public drunkenness.

• On April 13 at 4:57 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2012 Hyundai Sonata along Buck Boulevard at Route 940, in Tobyhanna Township, for having no registration plate displayed on the vehicle. The driver, a 26-year-old man from Kingston, Luzerne County, who troopers declined to identify, was taken into custody for DUI. He was taken to the county DUI center for a blood draw. The DUI charge is pending test results.

• Garden of Giving, Rising Hill Drive in Saylorsburg, Chestnuthill Township, reported it overpaid for two commercial refrigeration units which were not received. The investigation is continuing.
