State police at Fern Ridge report on crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes:

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 4:27 p.m. on March 30 at the intersection of Rodenbach Lane and Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Michael J. Flannery, 70, of Effort, was westbound in a 2013 Toyota Sienna on Rodenbach Lane and came to a stop at the intersection. Flannery then entered the intersection and struck a 1999 Acura Integra operated by Sarah R. Guinn, 19, of Saylorsburg. Both vehicles continued into the parking lot of a Rite Aid pharmacy.

Flannery and his passenger, Jillian J. Flannery, 29, of Effort, and Guinn, were all not injured. The Toyota had to be towed.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported on March 3 at 7:29 p.m. along Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said George R. Buynak, 26, of Stroudsburg, was driving a 2006 Toyota Sienna when his vehicle struck a deer that had entered the road in front of him. Buynak was not injured but the vehicle was towed.

• A crash occurred on March 17 at 10:21 a.m. along Route 209 at Lake Mineola Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Michael W. Hogen, 43, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2003 Dodge Caravan southbound when his vehicle struck a 2013 Kia Sorento, operated by Esterina Valan, 66, of Saylorsburg, in the rear.

Valan complained of chest pain but refused medical treatment. Hogen was not injured. The Dodge was towed.

• A hit-and-run crash was reported at 8:28 a.m. on March 17 along Route 534 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. Troopers said a vehicle was operated westbound in the Exxon Service Station parking lot. The vehicle hit a gas pump, then the driver made a U-turn and tried to get gas from another pump. The driver fled the scene.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported on March 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Shenkel Road and Brian Lane, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Donavan A. Ramdas, 35, of Effort, was driving a 2017 Mercedes-Benz westbound on Shenkel Road and entered the intersection, colliding with a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox operated by Dorothy L. Grefe, 45, of Effort.

No one was injured. Both vehicles were towed.

Ramdas was cited.

• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 7:29 a.m. on April 10 at the intersection of Route 115 and State Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Timothy A. Tibbs, 61, of Albrightsville, was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Route 115 and made a left turn onto State Road. In making the turn his bike ran over some gravel causing Tibbs to lose control. The bike laid on its side. Tibbs suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene by West End ambulance personnel.

• A crash occurred at 5:35 p.m. April 8. along Route 209, near the intersection with Karl Road, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Daniel J. Deodati, 66, of Brodheadsville, was stopped operating a 2014 Acura MDX when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 2010 Subaru Outback driven by Amy L. Dodd, 42, of Kunkletown.

A passenger with Deodati, Diane Deodati, 60, same address, was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance for medical evaluation, troopers said. Damages were minor to both vehicles.
