April 15, 1976 - Steve Kocher and Debi Rodrigues both set school records as the Palmerton boys roll past Notre Dame, 125-7, and the girls gain a 19-18 victory in an exhibition meet. Kocher wins two events, including the shot put with a new mark of 53-9 3/4. He also captures the javelin. Rodrigues runs a 27.2 to win the 220 and set school and field records. Her mark of 11.6 in the 100 also sets a new field record. John Havir (100, 220, 440) and Roy George (long jump, triple jump, high jump) add three individual firsts in the boys competition.
