State police at Stroudsburg reported a inmate at the Monroe County correctional facility in Snydersville died of a drug overdose.

Troopers said on April 6 they were notified by the county coroner that a suspected drug overdose occurred at the prison on Saturday, April 3. The victim, a 39-year-old man from Kearneysville, West Virginia, was found unresponsive in his cell by corrections officers at 5:30 a.m. Police did not release his identity.
