Conarty pitches a one-hitter, allowing just a single in the sixth inning. He strikes out nine batters while walking four. At the plate, he helps his own cause by knocking in three of his team’s runs. Bob Ziegenfuss delivers an RBI triple for the Indians, coached by Dallas “Tex” Heffner, while Loren LaRose finishes with a hit and two runs scored. Dave Barry also chips in with a hit and a run.
