Fire companies from throughout Schuylkill and Berks counties responded to a working commercial structure fire this morning in Pottsville.

The alarm was sent just after 7 a.m. at 450 N. Claude A. Lord Boulevard, also known as Route 61. Heavy smoke was pouring from the structure.

Fire companies throughout the county were called to the scene while others were dispatched for standby in adjoining communities.

The Red Cross has been requested for two people who were living there and have to be relocated.
