The Marian and Pleasant Valley boys and girls track and field teams both picked up wins on Monday, while Lehighton’s Kelsey Gaston set a school record against Blue Mountain.

Marian-Schuylkill Haven

Marian ran away with a sweep of Schuylkill Haven in Schuylkill League action.

The Colts cruised to a 113-13 victory in the boys meet, while the Fillies rolled to an 82-49 win.

Johnny Malarkey (200, triple jump), Alex Porambo (400, 800) and Mason Fistick (long jump, javelin) led the Colts with a pair of first-place finishes. The Fillies’ Jamison Wheeler (100, 300H) and Grace Curnow (400, 800) each added two wins in the girls’ meet.

Pleasant Valley swept Pocono Mountain West in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference meet.

The Bears posted an 82-64 victory in the boys meet, and rolled to a 93-57 win in the girls competition.

Acen Winckler (100, 200) and Justin Ellis (110H, 300H) both posted two individual wins for the PV boys.

In the girls meet, Mikayla DeReinzi (800, 1600) and DeNair Drew (100H, 300H) were multiple event winners for the Bears.

The Blue Raider girls came away with a 78-70 win, while the Spartan boys picked up a 101-48 victory.

Ashley Jones (100H, 300H) and Kaziah Streisel (javelin, shot put) led the Tamaqua girls with a pair of individual wins.

Blue Mountain swept Lehighton in a Schuylkill League meet.

The Eagles earned a narrow 76-74 win in the girls competition, and rolled to a 134-16 triumph on the boys side.

Kelsey Gaston won the 3200 with a school record time of 11:47.0 for the Tribe, breaking her sister Cera’s record of 11:52 set in 2017.

Brittney Bartasavage also picked up victories in the 100H (16.35) and 300H (50.29) for Lehighton.
