Stray cat shot in Ross Township

A case of animal cruelty is being investigated by state police at Lehighton.

On March 24 at 12:51 p.m. troopers responded to the area of Chestnut Drive North in Ross Township, Monroe County, for a report of animal cruelty. A stray cat was determined to be shot and resulted in the cat being unable to use its rear legs after being treated for its injuries.

Troopers ask anyone who has information concerning this incident to call them at 610-681-1850.
