Palmerton Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:
• Approved a request for use of the bandstand to have residents sign a community card in recognition of Palmerton resident Mary Kocher turning 100 years old. The community card may be signed from noon to 3 p.m. April 14.
• Approved a request for Prom in the Park to take place May 7.
• Approved a request for the Palmerton Towamensing Athletic Association to use Elmer Valo Field for Little League activities.
• Councilman Andrew Hollywood thanked the borough’s Public Works supervisor Todd Merkel, along with the Public Works Department, and said he’s pleased with the work they’re doing to beautify the town.
