The Jim Thorpe Lions Club last night staged Borough Manager Night in welcoming Walter Niehoff to this community.

Wilson Putt, president, was in charge of the dinner-meeting in Dever’s Hotel.

Niehoff, a former borough manager in Lehighton, is planning to locate here soon with his wife and family, having purchased the former Howard Becker property on Center Street.

Now living in Kingston, he commutes to his borough manager duties here daily. He previously worked for the Pennsylvania Economy League in Wilkes-Barre.

Niehoff received a pen and pencil set from the club, presented by Putt.
